VSA sanctioned competitions are covered by GFA insurances in regard to protection of event organisers and officials. The VSA also provides trophies and other recognition to successful competitors at the State competitions. In the event of any losses incurred due to low attendance numbers and/or the influence of adverse weather, the VSA will assist in covering any operational losses at State competitions in line with the provision of a realistic budget having been accepted by the VSA Committee.
Competition organisers may apply to the VSA for up to $500 per event for use at their discretion to ameliorate costs and make involvement more attractive.
When a VSA competition is adversely affected by poor weather or other matters the VSA will assist in covering operational losses provided the Organisers have previously established a realistic budget for the event and this has been accepted by the VSA Committee prior to the event.
